This week we ended up doing the plasma mini prep. Which maybe we aren’t having the best week but our broth ended up getting tossed out since a unlabeled tube spilled which caused everything to get contaminated. Our mentors let us use there project broth which was pTAC. We ended up using centrifuges and a spectrophotometer which a perfect result concluded 1.8 but our results ended up being 1.98 with a concentration of 30.1 which isn’t good. Means there is more protein then DNA 🧬 

Last week we tried to do a plasma mini prep but our ecoli broth that you can see here. Ended up getting contaminated but at the same time we waited to long and this chuck is all of our cells which are dead sadly. We ended up gram staining to check out if there is any cell life in there. But when we looked it was just empty and dead sadly. 

Transformation was successful which a transformation is when we introduce a foreign plasmid into a host. Which in this transformation we put ecoli into ampicillin resistance, LB, and amplara LB which ended up having a glow Florence and flowed under a UV light.
