Watching this ted talk it gave me so much inspiration on how she views life and her career. How she stated many factual things that not only happen in social work but in any careers or pathways in life. For example how she stated that life gets messy it’s just how life is. But instead of seeing in that point like many others do. She said well that makes me want to dig in that mess and make it work and unmask the messy for her. Viewing it differently to make it better or less harder in the long run. Which this is what I need to do in my stem career life. Not just say yes it’s hard and just deal with it. I can try to do many things to cut the edge off a bit to make it more workable. For example when focusing on an assignment I can research further then what I have gotten or even reach for help and opinions on other students or teachers.

The way we view ourselves and our skills can have a significant impact on our life. In addition to the way we feel, the way we view our intellect and talents can have an impact on our performance, whether we cling to new habits, or if we gain new skills. As a person with a growth mindset, you believe in the ability to improve over time. As a result of having a fixed mindset, you may assume that you will never be good at something if you aren't good at it now.The way I have been before covid-19 was always a growth mindset. I always was engaged in learning a new path. I understood my abilities could be developed over time. I wouldn’t cheat or run from difficult problems or situations. I honestly didn’t know what anxiety and being scared to fail were at that time. I would want to say the environment I was in was healthy as well. Till my grandfather passes away, covid- 19 happened and everything went online. That’s when my fixed mindset hit hard. I felt so lost and useless that everyth...

Organization- Being organized makes everything else easier. It helps you get to work faster without wasting time looking for stuff. Keep your assignments and class information organized by subject. Put them in binders, notebooks, or folders. If you find yourself stuffing loose papers in your bag or grabbing different notebooks for the same class, it's time to stop and reorganize! Clean out your backpack regularly. Decide where to keep returned assignments and things you want to hold on to. Offload things you no longer need to carry around. Multitask- when I mean about multitasking, I mean about the amount of work you get during a short period of time which knocking down similar subjects together can have a good flow in getting assignments done. Work in stressful environments- when overload of work is due to be done working in a good pattern of spacing out assignments. Can still but a workload which working these stressful environments like taking a test or doing a lab re...

To create the Tauntaun harvest data, we need to simulate the Tauntaun population through time. We’ll set up a 10 year population simulation, where we will track the number of male and female Tauntauns separately in each time step (each year). Tauntaun life history has been well studied by biologists on the icy planet of Hoth, and it’s reasonable to assume that life history characteristics are the same in Vermont. Individuals can begin breeding at the age of 1, and produce approximately 2 offspring per year. Individuals that are 0 years old are called “young” because they cannot breed. One-year-old breeders are called “recruits” because these individuals have been recruited into the breeding population. Tauntauns that survive the harvest and the natural mortality period are able to give advance to the birthday again. On the birthday, the animals that were 0 years old are now 1, and they instantly give birth to ~ 2 offspring. The animals that were 1 years old are now 2, and they in...
